Clean Life Balance Terms and Conditions

1. Introduction
These terms and conditions outline the rules and regulations for using Clean Life
Balance's services. You agree to adhere to these terms by booking and using our
services.

2. Services Offered
Clean Life Balance offers professional cleaning services for residential and commercial
properties. Trained, vetted, and insured cleaning professionals perform all services. The
scope of work will be outlined in the service description during booking.

3. Booking and Payment Terms
3.1 Service Booking: Clients can schedule services through our website, phone, or email.
Appointments are subject to availability and confirmation.
3.2 Payment: Full payment for services must be made before the commencement of work
unless otherwise agreed upon in writing. Payments can be made via cash, e-transfer, or credit
card. If paying by e-transfer or credit card, a 13% HST will be applied.
3.3 Cancellation Policy: Clients must provide at least 24 hours' notice to cancel or reschedule
a service. Failure to do so will result in a cancellation fee of $50. The full-service fee will be a
no-show penalty if a cleaning professional arrives at the client’s property and no one is home.
3.4 Refunds: Refunds will only be issued in cases of service non-performance or if Clean Life
Balance fails to provide the agreed-upon services. In such cases, a claim must be made within
48 hours of service completion.
3.5 Client Responsibility for Changes: Clients must notify Clean Life Balance immediately of
any changes to the scheduled service, including cancellations or rescheduling. Failure to do so
within 24 hours of the appointment may incur additional fees.
3.6 Recap and Checklist on Request: Clients may email a copy of the service agreement and
details, which include service specifics and full details. Additionally, clients can request a
complete checklist of the services included in their package to avoid miscommunication about
what has been ordered or is expected.

4. Service Modifications
4.1 Changes to Service: If the client wishes to modify the service (e.g., add extra cleaning
tasks), they must inform Clean Life Balance at least 24 hours in advance. Modifications may be
subject to additional charges.
4.2 Service Inclusions: Before the service, a detailed checklist will be provided. Clients are
responsible for reviewing the list to ensure it meets their needs. Additional services not listed
may incur extra charges.
4.3 Extra Time or Effort: If the property is in a condition that requires extra time or effort (e.g.,
excessive dirt, debris, or clutter), additional charges may apply. This includes but is not limited
to, homes in particularly dusty or dirty conditions, post-party cleaning, or other situations
requiring intensive effort. Clients will be informed of any extra charges before the work begins.

5. Service Guarantee and Reclean Policy
Clean Life Balance strives to provide high-quality service. If the client is unsatisfied with
any cleaning aspect, they must contact Clean Life Balance within 48 hours to request a
re-clean. The following conditions must be met for the reclean to apply:
5.1 Photo Documentation: Clients should allow the cleaning provider to take before-and-after
photos of the job. This helps in quality assurance and addresses any concerns about the
service provided. Photos will focus on the areas to be cleaned and will not include personal or
sensitive information.
5.2 Client's Documentation: If the client has concerns about specific areas, they are
encouraged to take photos before and after the service.
5.3 Time for Service Completion: The cleaning professional must have been given adequate
time to complete the job as per the service agreement.
5.4 Full Payment: The service must be fully paid for, including any additional charges incurred.
5.5 Timely Reporting: The complaint must be submitted within 48 hours after service
completion.
Supervisors will review and investigate all reclean requests. If eligible, the client will be
scheduled for a reclean at no additional cost. If not eligible, the client will be informed promptly.

6. Client Obligations
6.1 Access to the Property: The client is responsible for ensuring that the cleaning
professional has access to the property at the scheduled time. This includes providing any
necessary access codes, keys, or parking instructions.
6.2 Health and Safety: Clients must ensure the cleaning environment is safe for the cleaning
professional. Clean Life Balance reserves the right to refuse service without a refund if the
property presents a hazard.
6.3 Pets: Clients must secure pets that may interfere with cleaning.

7. Hiring of Clean Life Balance Employees
7.1 Non-Solicitation of Employees: Clients are prohibited from hiring or soliciting any cleaning
professional employed or contracted through Clean Life Balance. Our cleaning professionals
undergo extensive training and certification to provide quality service, which involves a
significant investment of time and resources by Clean Life Balance.
7.2 Referral Fee and Legal Action: If a client hires or attempts to hire a Clean Life Balance
cleaning professional directly, bypassing the company, a referral fee of $5,000 will apply. The
client will also be subject to legal action to recover any damages or losses incurred due to this
breach of contract.

8. Privacy and Confidentiality
Clean Life Balance respects the client’s privacy and will not share any personal
information with third parties without the client’s consent, except as required by law. All
personal data collected during service booking and delivery will be handled in
compliance with relevant privacy laws.
8.1 Use of Photos: Any photos taken before and after the service are strictly used for quality
assurance. Photos will not include personal or sensitive information and will not be shared
externally without the client's consent.

9. Liability
9.1 Damages: Clean Life Balance will not be held liable for any pre-existing property damage or
items within it. The client must inform the cleaning professional of any fragile or valuable items
before the cleaning begins.
9.2 Breakage: In the unlikely event of breakage or damage caused by a cleaning professional,
the client must notify Clean Life Balance within 24 hours of service. Clean Life Balance will
investigate the claim and, if found liable, may offer compensation or replacement at our
discretion.

10. Governing Law
The Province of Ontario, Canada's laws govern these terms and conditions. Any
disputes will be handled in the appropriate courts within Ontario's jurisdiction.

11. Amendments
Clean Life Balance reserves the right to modify these terms and conditions at anytime.
Clients will be notified of any significant changes, and continued use of our services
constitutes acceptance of the revised terms.
